Katie lets you in on which sites are her fave sources for info and advice when it comes to business, and more specifically marketing. Their e-newsletters are great for the latest business information in bite-sized pieces.
Over my years in the industry and with my qualifications I have learned so much and the more I learn the more I realise there is still so much to know! However it needn’t be overwhelming and I am a firm believer that marketing your business need not always be costly to get a great result.
So this week I thought I would share with you a few of the great sources where I find information and advice when it comes to business, and more specifically marketing. Most of these sites have email updates (daily or weekly) which I highly recommend you subscribe to. It is a great way to receive the latest business information in bite-sized pieces by quickly scanning the headlines and overviews and then it is up to you about what you click on for more insight and information. Often I come across areas of business which I wouldn’t normally look for but which are incredibly important to running my business.
Have a browse through these sites for some simple info which may help your business or inspire you to do something differently…it could be just the change you need.

This is a free news and information website for Australian start-ups and people thinking of starting their own business and was started by Smart Company founder Amanda Gome.
Amanda explains, “When I was setting up my business, I often felt very alone and isolated. There was no daily publication to read, no site to help and no community to join. During that start-up phase you need specialist assistance, news and advice. The critical decisions you make at that stage affect the life of your business. It really is a question of starting up dumb or starting up smart.I vowed that once SmartCompany, a news site for entrepreneurs, was established, I would return to the start-up space. StartupSmart is the result: a publication that assists people thinking of taking the leap and holding their hands during those first few years of starting up.”
